About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking a contractor to repair linear valves with National Stock Number 7RH 4810 014076862, specifically 3 units with part number 123SCH5002-1. This solicitation focuses on a repair and modification contract for military valve assets, with strict performance requirements including a mandatory Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) of 140 days after asset receipt. The contract requires precise tracking through the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system, with contractors mandated to report all transactions within five business days of physical asset receipt. Contractors must provide a monthly throughput constraint and complete all repairs within 365 days of the contract award date. The solicitation is not set aside for any specific business category and will be evaluated based on the contractor's ability to meet detailed repair specifications and turnaround times.
The contract covers valve repair services categorized under NAICS code 332919 (Other Metal Valve and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing) and PSC code 4810 (Powered Valves), with early and incremental deliveries preferred and encouraged. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the contract includes provisions for price adjustments based on meeting RTAT requirements, suggesting potential financial incentives or penalties. The place of performance will be the contractor's facility, where they will receive F-condition assets, perform repairs, and return them to the Navy. Contractors must comply with various federal requirements including Buy American provisions, equal opportunity standards, and quality assurance protocols. The solicitation was posted on December 18, 2024, with proposal responses due by January 17, 2025, providing approximately one month for potential bidders to prepare and submit their qualifications.
