About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is conducting market research for the procurement of Flow Control Valves, specifically NSN 4820-00-346-4324 with a part number LE 45780-1. The agency is seeking to determine if alternative sources can satisfy their requirements and if commercial or nondevelopmental items are available. The contracting office, located at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, is utilizing authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), which suggests the supplies are available from limited sources. The solicitation number SPRHA1-25-R-0464 indicates a targeted procurement process, with interested parties able to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 30 days of the notice. The response deadline is March 14, 2025, and all responsible sources are invited to demonstrate their capabilities.
The procurement is not set aside for small businesses, with an estimated quantity of 37 valves and a projected delivery schedule targeting May 22, 2026. Eaton Aerospace LLC is suggested as a potential subcontracting partner, and the government has determined that acquiring data or rights to the part from additional sources would be uneconomical. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level, and the contract falls under NAICS code 332919 for Other Metal Valve and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement appears to be a specialized acquisition with strict sourcing limitations. The contract duration remains to be determined, and the government is explicitly clear that this pre-solicitation notice does not guarantee a commitment to contract or compensate for any provided information.
