About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 12 valve assemblies with National Stock Number 7H-4820-015457039-L1, with a complete technical data package and no manufacturing restrictions. The proposed acquisition will be for a Level 1 item that can only be acquired from approved sources, with contracts awarded to offerors whose inspection system conforms to MIL-I-45208A or an equivalent standard, as certified by a joint DCMA/NAVSUP WSS survey team. Interested firms must include their CAGE code on solicitation requests and demonstrate compliance with military inspection standards. The government is not using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, but potential vendors may identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of the notice. The pre-solicitation was posted on April 10, 2025, with responses due by May 12, 2025.
The procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns, with potential for specific set-aside classifications including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, or Women-Owned Small Business designations. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation covers a quantity of 12 valve assemblies to be delivered FOB origin. The technical data package is complete, and the government maintains full rights to the technical data with no apparent restrictions on engineering or manufacturing processes. The procurement follows a competitive sourcing approach, specifically noting this is an A/RMSC classification that implies full and open competition. Potential vendors should carefully review the detailed requirements and be prepared to demonstrate compliance with military inspection and quality standards.
