About this opportunity
This Special Notice announces the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's intent to award a sole source contract to the Mississippi Flyway Council Inc. for services related to conducting various survey activities on the breeding grounds of the Southern Hudson Bay Canada Goose Population.
The objective of the work is to determine the annual status of this population and provide information needed for promulgating annual hunting regulations. Interested contractors have until June 27, 2022 to respond if they wish to be considered as an alternative to the sole source award, however a non-competitive award to the Mississippi Flyway Council is within the agency's discretion given its established role coordinating federal, state, and provincial management activities across 14 U.S. states and 3 Canadian provinces within the Mississippi Flyway on behalf of the Service. The proposed contract is for a base year plus four option years and will provide survey and monitoring services required for the long-term management of this migratory bird resource population.
