About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command's V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) awarded a sole-source delivery order valued at $13,274,914 to Raytheon Company for engineering, management, technical, and acquisition efforts supporting the FY25 V-22 Tactical Software Suite sustainment. The contract encompasses software product updates, qualification testing, air vehicle integration, airworthiness substantiation, flight test demonstration, and validation/verification activities to resolve V-22 Problem Reports across MV/CMV/CV-22 aircraft variants. This delivery order was issued under a broader Basic Ordering Agreement spanning FY2022-FY2026 with a total estimated value of $229.85 million, covering comprehensive system and software engineering services for the V-22 program. The award was justified on a sole-source basis due to Raytheon's unique position as the original equipment manufacturer with proprietary technical expertise and specialized knowledge of the aircraft's avionics infrastructure, with the government determining that utilizing any other contractor would result in unacceptable delays to fielding requirements.
