About this opportunity
Naval Air Systems Command awarded delivery order N0001926F2168 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0002 to Bell Boeing Joint Project Office on September 21, 2026, for $29.674 million to procure loads and dynamics model data for all V-22 variants.
The technical data will support future sustainment decisions, mishap investigations, transition to post-production sustainment, and Fleet Support Team repair and maintenance of V-22 aircraft. The award was made on a sole-source basis under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), with Bell Boeing identified as the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and the only known source possessing the requisite engineering and technical data required to perform this effort. Market research via a sources sought notice yielded only one capable response from Bell Boeing, with competing respondents demonstrating insufficient V-22 systems integration expertise. NAVAIR determined that awarding work to another source would cause unacceptable delays of 51–60 months due to competition timelines, design completion, and qualification requirements.
