About this opportunity
This Special Notice announces an Industry Day for the U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) Headquarters Command and Control Facility (C2F) project located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Published by Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) on behalf of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) and USSPACECOM, this market research initiative seeks to engage qualified industry partners for a significant federal construction and management project. The facility will accommodate approximately 1,800 personnel across 700,000 square feet and will serve as a permanent warfighting headquarters supporting critical national security operations. The event represents the government's effort to identify capable firms before formal acquisition proceedings commence and is classified under NAICS Code 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction).
The Industry Day is scheduled for May 6, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Central Time at the Alabama Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, with virtual attendance via Zoom also available; the RSVP deadline is April 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM Central Time through the GoColosseum Marketplace portal. The government seeks qualified partners for two distinct roles: Owner's Representative Project Management and Design and Construction execution, with both acquisitions to be conducted using Other Transaction Authority (OTA) through the One Nation Innovation (ONI) Exchange GoColosseum Marketplace following Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) best practices. Interested parties must demonstrate extensive expertise in technology-driven operations centers, resilient and redundant infrastructure, integrated IT systems, ICD 705 secure space standards, High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) hardening, and Radio Frequency (RF) shielding, with prime construction firms required to provide documentation of progressive design-build projects exceeding $500 million completed within the last five years. Registration requires submission of company information, CAGE Code, UEI, business classification, attendance preference, and primary area of interest through the GoColosseum Marketplace, with in-person attendance limited to three representatives per company.
