Update #1 ·

This is a sources sought announcement in accordance with FAR 15.201 in anticipation of a potential future Request for Proposals (RFP).  NAVSEA is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing the FY18 Modernization Period (MODPRD) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availabilities for both the USS COWPENS (CG 63) and USS GETTYSBURG (CG 64).  NAVSEA intends to compete both of the Availabilities under a single solicitation on a nation-wide basis.  If a potential offeror is unable to accomplish both ships, NAVSEA would like to know if there would be interest in competing for one ship's CNO Availability.  A single contract is expected to be solicited and awarded on the basis of the lowest priced technically acceptable proposal for both ships, but based upon the responses received to this announcement NAVSEA may reserve the right to award to multiple offerors from a single solicitation.

A Government provided outline of the anticipated work under the expected MODPRD Availabilities is included with this sources sought document at Enclosure (1).  The anticipated contract type will be fixed price.
