Quoters must submit exactly the specified brand name and part number without substitutions, and must provide a Yanmar authorized reseller letter as a key qualification requirement. This procurement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 333618 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, and quoters must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The justification documents indicate this is a sole-source acquisition with Yanmar Co., LTD as the manufacturer, though authorized resellers may compete for the contract award. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the acquisition involves four complete engine packages that serve as direct replacement components for broken original engines critical to powering the sailing craft's illumination, navigation, and radar systems. The engines must be delivered on or before August 30, 2025, with performance required during normal business hours (7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The place of performance is the Naval Academy's Waterfront Readiness Department at 66 Halligan Road, Annapolis, MD 21402, where the engines will support the operational capabilities of naval training vessels used in midshipmen instruction.
