About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to assess industry capabilities for conducting a comprehensive Anthropometry Survey. This RFI, issued on March 16, 2026, seeks information regarding firms' interest and expertise in data collection, analysis, and modeling services related to Marine Corps anthropometric measurements. Key requirements include developing anthropometry data collection plans, conducting onsite sessions at Marine Corps Base Quantico, training government personnel, operating 3dMD scanners for body and head measurements, creating digital anthropometric databases, developing 3D digital human models for systems engineering, and conducting ergonomic evaluations. Prospective respondents must demonstrate expertise in developing fit criteria for body armor, helmets, packs, and weapons based on anthropometric analysis, possess qualified personnel meeting USMC Human Subjects Research requirements with CITI certifications, and provide evidence of previous relevant work through portfolio documentation. Responses must be submitted by March 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM to Ms. Corinne Beadle at corinne.beadle.civ@usmc.mil; notably, this is a market research effort only and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract or provide compensation for submitted information.

This Pre-Solicitation Notice carries no small business set-aside designation. No incumbent contractor information or award values have been disclosed in this market research phase. Respondents should confirm their small business status if applicable and provide NAICS codes with their submissions. Firms are encouraged to identify availability of services under existing contract vehicles such as the Federal Supply Schedule, Navy Seaport-e, or Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts to streamline potential future procurement. The RFI represents an exploratory phase to inform future solicitation planning; interested vendors should include comprehensive capabilities documentation and portfolio examples of similar anthropometric survey or human factors engineering work completed for government or military clients.
