The contract requires a comprehensive maintenance and repair effort, including tasks such as elevator inspections, davit and crane maintenance, reverse osmosis system servicing, deck covering renewal, and various technical and preventative maintenance activities. The pre-solicitation notice indicates a desire to find contractors with specialized maritime repair capabilities within the shipbuilding and repairing sector (NAICS 336611). While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the complexity of the work suggests that technical expertise, maritime repair experience, and ability to complete multiple specialized work items will be critical. The pre-solicitation was posted on January 29, 2025, with responses due by February 14, 2025, and the targeted period of performance spans from September 2 to November 25, 2025.
The contract opportunity does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, suggesting it will be open to competitive bidding. The total project encompasses 15 distinct work items, with 12 being mandatory and 2 additional optional items related to ballast tank preservation. While no specific budget range is provided, the extensive list of technical maintenance requirements suggests a potentially significant contract value.
