About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard is releasing a Request for Information on May 13, 2026 (due June 2, 2026) for market research regarding procurement of shotguns, related accessories, and training to support USCG and all other Department of Homeland Security agencies and components. This is not a solicitation and does not constitute a commitment to contract; respondents should not submit proprietary information, and all responses become Government property at no cost to the Government.

The requirement is structured as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for one 12-month base period plus four optional 12-month periods. The USCG will retain administrative duties with decentralized use across DHS. All shotguns and accessories must be manufactured in the United States and delivered FOB Destination to the USCG Small Arms Repair Facility in Crane, Indiana.

The procurement encompasses five distinct commercially available shotgun variants, all with delayed blowback or short recoil operating systems, chambered for both 2-inch and 3-inch 12-gauge ammunition meeting SAAMI Z299.2 specifications. All variants must feature AR15/AR10-style controls, MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails, and M-LOK attachment points, with shared maintenance procedures, training requirements, and compatible repair parts. Variants range from a 13-inch barrel semi and full-auto configuration to a 5-inch barrel breaching configuration with collapsible stock. Optional deliverables include one-day armorer training courses (up to 15 students), additional magazines, maintenance kits, suppressors, muzzle extensions, and optics. Quality assurance relies on contractor commercial systems and receiving inspections covering inventory verification, visual condition assessment, manual function checks, and documentation review.
