About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract to provide the agency with annual technical enhancements and customer support for two licenses of ModelCenter Premium software from ANSYS, Inc. The total estimated value of the contract is less than $50,000.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties that the USCG intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to ANSYS, Inc. without competition, as the agency has determined that ANSYS is the only source that can provide the required software licenses, which interface with various industry-standard applications. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objectives. The deadline for responding to this notice is June 21, 2024. The USCG will use this information to determine whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future software licensing requirements of this type.
