About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Medium Endurance Cutter Product Line (MECPL), has issued a Special Notice for the purchase of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) New Jacket Water, Lube Oil, and Red Gear Coolers (RG Coolers), and Tube Bundles for the 210/270 A and B Class vessels. The Coast Guard does not possess the proprietary technical specifications, drawings, manufacturing/provisioning data, or special tools necessary to provide these supplies, as this information was not purchased at the time of the original acquisition and is proprietary to the OEM.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to identify potential sources that can provide genuine OEM supplies that meet the form-fit-function of the USCG 210 and 270 Medium Endurance Cutters. The Coast Guard has identified four authorized dealers that can provide the required supplies, and any other potential sources must submit information demonstrating their capabilities, including data on past satisfactory performance and a written letter from the OEM verifying their authority to supply OEM manufactured items and parts to the Government. The deadline for submitting this information is 5 calendar days from the date the notice was published, and the Government does not intend to pay or reimburse any costs incurred by interested companies in responding to this announcement.
