About this opportunity

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Middle East Regional Program Office in Frankfurt, Germany has issued a Pre-Solicitation Notice for a planned 5-year economic activity in Yemen. The activity has three key objectives: improving the macroeconomic functions of Yemeni institutions, strengthening trade facilitation policy, and enhancing private sector engagement to support micro, small, and medium enterprises. The contractor will be required to build capacity, facilitate trade, and leverage private resources to improve MSME competitiveness and market access. The activity has crosscutting requirements such as a focus on gender equality, climate change adaptation, inclusive development, local capacity strengthening, and youth engagement.

This Pre-Solicitation is a Request for Information, not a solicitation, and responding does not guarantee any advantage in a future competition. USAID is seeking responses from interested parties, including small businesses, minority-owned firms, and Yemeni local organizations, on the feasibility and achievability of the proposed objectives and activities. Responses are due by August 5, 2024. This opportunity is open to all business types and is not designated as a set-aside. USAID has not provided any details on potential award values or budget ranges.
