About this opportunity
The U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), under the Department of Defense, has published a Special Notice announcing an Industry Day opportunity to be held in Luanda, Angola on June 30 and July 1, 2026. This notice is for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal or commit the Government to any future contracts. USAFRICOM is soliciting interested commercial vendors to participate in targeted Industry Sessions as part of a larger continent-wide conference expected to attract up to 300 attendees. The deadline for submissions is April 13, 2026. The notice explicitly clarifies that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this solicitation and does not guarantee future contractual action.
The primary objective of this Industry Day is to provide a platform for commercial vendors to showcase military technologies, supplies, and services available for acquisition by African Partner nations. Selected vendors will receive dedicated presentation space consisting of one 6-foot table and two chairs in hotel lobby and foyer areas, with permitted display materials limited to pop-up banners (maximum 8 feet in height), marketing brochures, small non-operational product samples, and digital laptop presentations; large-scale hardware is prohibited due to space constraints. All vendors meeting the submission deadline are eligible to participate, though USAFRICOM has identified priority interest areas including geospatial capabilities such as drones (UAV/UAS), commercial GEOINT, and remote sensing technologies. Selected participants will gain the dual benefit of maintaining their dedicated exhibition space while attending main conference sessions as observers, providing networking opportunities with African defense stakeholders and USAFRICOM personnel.
