Synopsis

The Strategic Studies Institute (SSI), United States Army War College (USAWC) Academic Engagement Program, seeks collaborative, mutually beneficial, conceptual research with distinguished academic and other institutions for addressing key national security issues. The normal end products of the academic colloquia envisioned by this RFQ are scholarly presentations, research papers, monographs or books published by the Strategic Studies Institute (SSI). The research products access and make recommendations on strategic issues and national security policies important to the Army and are used in the professional development of USAWC faculty and students. Additionally, SSI distributes its publications to key leaders in the Army and Department of Defense, the broader military educational system, Congress, the media, other domestic and international think tanks and defense institutes, and major colleges and universities. The period of performance will be for one year beginning on the effective date of the contract at least. Offerors may submit pricing to include up to four one year option periods. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for award. The Government reserves the right to select for award, all, some or none of the proposals received and make multiple awards on a best value basis. It is estimated that the solicitation will be released on or about 8 September, 2010 with a closing date on or about 8 October, 2010. The actual beginning and closing date will be on the solicitation itself. To request a copy of the solicitation, send an e-mail to Roger Miller at roger.n.miller@us.army.mil only. Phone requests will not be honored. Do not sign up for notification.
