About this opportunity

The US Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) has issued a Special Notice regarding its Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) acquisition, formerly known as Command Information Management System III (CIMS III). This notice was published by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal on February 12, 2025, with a due date of February 14, 2025. The notice explicitly states it is not a solicitation, invitation for bids, or request for proposals, and the government has no obligation to award a contract based solely on this notice. The posting serves as an informational announcement to industry regarding upcoming IT/IM requirements. The opportunity falls under NAICS code 541513 for Computer Facilities Management Services and does not currently utilize any set-aside designations.

The Special Notice aims to provide industry information about comprehensive IT/IM support services including computer and network operations, video teleconferencing, telecommunications, knowledge management, web development, information assurance, cybersecurity operations, and various infrastructure maintenance services. Performance locations are Colorado Springs, Colorado and Huntsville, Alabama, with the incumbent contractor being Summit Technical Solutions, LLC. All prime contractors and subcontractors must possess TOP SECRET facility clearance and SECRET safeguarding capability at the time of award. The current CIMS III contract ordering period ends May 15, 2025, while existing task orders extend through April 21, 2026. The government anticipates awarding the new USASMDC IT/IM requirements as a small business set-aside task order on a Strategic Source Contract vehicle during the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, though this timeline is subject to change and market research will determine if additional socioeconomic set-asides are appropriate.
