About this opportunity
AFLCMC/ESAW is conducting a Request for Information only (RFI) on operating, sustaining, and modernizing the USAF Weather Cloud enterprise across classified and unclassified security enclaves, with white papers due September 2, 2026 at 17:00 ET. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract or issue a future RFP, does not reimburse response costs, and does not preclude participation in any future competitive solicitation.
The effort spans six modular task sections: Infrastructure as a Service (compute, storage, networking, and HPC resources across multiple enclassifications); Platform as a Service (identity and license management, application hosting); SaaS, DevSecOps, and software (application development, integration, technical debt reduction); Cybersecurity (Risk Management Framework, Authority to Operate, Continuous ATO, Zero Trust); Architecture and Design (Modular Open Systems Approach, integration with existing DoD C2 and VAULTIS systems); and Digital Materiel Management and Digital Engineering (IDE hosting, multi-enclave collaboration). Respondents may address individual sections or combinations. The RFI is structured to accommodate multiple cloud providers, multi-cloud and hybrid approaches, and consumption-based pricing models. The effort is distinct from the existing Technology Applications Development and Sustainment contract (FA4600-20-D-0002). Responses should include company profile, GSA contract vehicles held (MAS, Alliant 2, VETS 2, or other pre-competed vehicles), applicable SINs or pools, business size and socio-economic categories, capability assessment, lead time requirements, subcontracting estimates, NDA information, and facility security clearance level. Technical responses are limited to 20 pages. Submit white papers in Microsoft Word format via email to Brett Maguire (brett.maguire@us.af.mil) with courtesy copies to Capt Christopher Thier and Ashley Luck. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
