About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is seeking a contractor to upgrade the T700 Digital Engine Control (DECU) and Engine History Counter (EHC) test systems at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. The contract will entail purchasing and integrating a new uninterruptible power supply, integrating a new printer and AC power supply, troubleshooting test failures, providing new system controllers with software porting, and performing acceptance testing. This is a non-personal service, "turnkey" contract where the contractor will be solely responsible for the work. The contract has a period of performance of six months.
This is a non-set-aside opportunity. The primary NAICS code is 541715 - Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology), and the PSC code is AD21 - R&D - Physical Sciences. The sole source justification indicates that Southwest Research Institute, the original designer of the DECU test stands, is the only reasonably available source for the required upgrades. The contract value is not specified, but the work is considered essential to retaining the program and generating revenue for these assets.
