About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command is seeking contractor services to upgrade electrical infrastructure at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany, specifically targeting Ranges 117 and 118. The work encompasses removing and disposing of 365 existing receptacle connection boxes, installing 365 new socket connection boxes, renewing flexible grounding cables in approximately 365 target pits, and replacing flexible Schuko plug cables to junction distributors. The contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price agreement, and contractors must demonstrate compliance with German law and possess authorization to conduct business in Germany. All responsible sources are eligible to submit bids for consideration by the RCO Bavaria. The formal solicitation is expected to be posted on or about May 18, 2026, with a bid opening date anticipated for approximately June 23, 2026, and contractors should submit inquiries by the May 13, 2026 deadline.
No set-aside designation applies to this procurement opportunity. The performance period for contract execution is 250 calendar days, which includes a 20-calendar-day commencement window. The scope involves work to be performed entirely in Germany at the Grafenwoehr Training Area shooting range complex. While specific budget information is not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scale of work—involving 365 electrical connection boxes and associated grounding and cable installations—indicates a substantial infrastructure upgrade project.
