About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Sugarcane Research Center is seeking a contractor to update the Crossing Greenhouse Control System at their facility in Schriever, LA. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and supplies to demolish existing control system components, install a new control system, and coordinate with lab personnel to ensure the work does not interfere with ongoing research. The project is expected to be completed within 90 days from the date of notice to proceed, with quotes due by September 12, 2023.

Products and Services to be provided:

  1. Demolition of existing control system components.
  2. Installation of a new control system, including replacing the Argus Master Control, installing new software/firmware, installing a new Weather Station, and replacing IO modules, control cards, and sensors.
  3. Coordination with lab personnel to ensure work does not interfere with ongoing research.
  4. Compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations, as well as the requirements of the ARS Facilities and Design Standards.
  5. Management of the project, including daily reports of work performed to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract.
Each offer must show a breakdown giving price of each element, provide descriptive literature or information showing that the offered services meet all parts of the Statement of Work. Also, please provide past performance information.

Vendors responding to this announcement shall submit their quote in accordance with FAR 52.212-1. Submission of quote shall include the following: (1) Technical Specifications and (2) Price (to include shipping).

The basis for award is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
