About this opportunity
The Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base is seeking to procure a UniWest EVi Advanced Eddy Current Instrument Kit with comprehensive accessories for the 76th Aircraft Maintenance Group (AMXG). This portable eddy-current testing equipment is essential for performing Probability of Detection (PoD) analysis on aircraft at both depot and field locations, with specific capabilities including c-scan results generation and on-site aircraft inspection functionality. The procurement is set forth under Technical Order 1B-1B-36, Paragraph 57.27, with market research confirming that UniWest is the sole vendor meeting the Government's technical requirements. The contract will be awarded on a firm fixed price basis, and interested contractors must submit proposals electronically through SAM.gov (Beta.sam.gov). The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 24, 2025, with a due date of November 25, 2025, requiring expedited response from potential offerors.
This is a total small business set-aside competition under NAICS code 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) with a size standard of 600 employees. The procurement includes one unit of the EVi Advanced Eddy Current Instrument Kit along with nine specific component assemblies and accessories, including smart scanners, probe heads, cables, calibration standards, and holders. The estimated period of performance is 60 days after receipt of order (ARO), making this a relatively short-duration contract. No foreign acquisition is permitted for this requirement. Interested contractors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award, and all inquiries should be directed to Paula Perry, Contract Specialist at AFSC/PZIMA, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, via email at paula.perry@us.af.mil.
