Update #2 · Latest ·
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00019-16-G-0001 to The Boeing Company for the Universal Aerial Refueling Receptacle Slipway Installation (UARRSI) Improvement Sealing and Drain Hose.
Update #1 ·
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00019-16-G-0001 to The Boeing Company for the Universal Aerial Refueling Receptacle Slipway Installation (UARRSI) Improvement Sealing and Drain Hose.
The work will be performed on five aircraft and includes applying a fay surface sealant around the periphery of the UARRSI and pressure box to include the use of "seal dams" at the 4 corners of the pressure box. Additionally, the contractor shall provide a drain hose made from material suitable enough to avoid collapse at low external pressure loading expected during normal operations.
NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award this delivery order utilizing other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority at FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NAVAIR synopsized the BOA to the government-wide point of entry (FEDBizOpps website-www.fbo.gov) on 24 March 2015 and included a point of contact for subcontracting opportunities to broaden industry and small business participation. The government will not consider any information submitted by interested parties in response to this Presolicitation notice. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Boeing directly via Paige V. Bisset at (425) 965-8077 or paige.v.bisset@boeing.com
