About this opportunity

The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Office of Leasing seeks to lease office and flex space in Mount Vernon, Illinois, with responses due May 27, 2026. No set-aside applies.

The Government requires 1,100 to 1,265 rentable square feet of contiguous, above-ground office space on a single floor. The lease term is 15 years firm, with 10 years firm and 5 years optional. Seven reserved parking spaces must be provided in a secured area meeting specific dimensions: 10-foot minimum width and 28-foot depth per space, with the collective parking area approximately 3,000 square feet (30 feet by 80 feet including 20 percent circulation). If parking is outdoors, it requires a 7-foot or higher chain-link fence with a minimum 12-foot-wide gate and asphalt or paved surface. Controlled access in and out of the parking area is mandatory.

Due to the nature of the agency's mission, the proposed space must have reasonable separation from tenants in industries regulated by the FDA, including foods, drugs, biologics, medical devices, electronic products emitting radiation, cosmetics, veterinary products, and tobacco products. Proposers must submit a list of neighboring tenants on the floor where space is offered so the Government can evaluate potential conflicts.

Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards per lease terms. The delineated search area encompasses North (County Road 1500 N, County Road 600 E, Alma Hatchery Road, Martin Road), South (Yellow Banks Road, S Victor Street, Illinois Route 14), East (Illinois Route 37), and West (U.S. Route 51) boundaries.
