About this opportunity

The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service Region 1, intends to solicit a lease for office space in Boston, Massachusetts, with expressions of interest due by June 15, 2026. GSA is considering alternative space to replace an expiring lease and will evaluate proposals based on economic advantage, including relocation costs, tenant improvement replication, and agency downtime.

The required space is located within the Seaport District of Boston and must total 5,000 to 5,250 ABOA square feet, classified as office space. The lease term is 15 years overall with a 10-year firm commitment. Fifteen unreserved parking spaces are required. The space must be fully serviced and comply with government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic resilience, and sustainability. The offered space cannot be located in a 1 percent annual chance floodplain.

Respondents must familiarize themselves with Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act and its implementation under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), which imposes telecommunications prohibitions. Expressions of interest must include building name and address, site and interior layout drawings with dimensions, rentable square footage and fully serviced rental rate per square foot, ABOA square footage, parking details, energy efficiency features, and building services descriptions.
