About this opportunity

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Strategic Technology Office announced a Proposers Day for the Unison program on 5 November 2026, with registration required by 29 October 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT. The event will be held at the System Planning and Analysis Research Collaboration Center (SPARCC), 4075 Wilson Blvd., Suite 201, Arlington, Virginia, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST. Attendance is limited to the first 90 registrants, with a maximum of two representatives per organization; registration is free and conducted at https://creative.spa.com/darpa/sto/unison/pd/. All attendees must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons; those claiming U.S. Person status must submit DARPA Form 60 by 3:00 PM EDT on 29 October 2026. Valid government-issued photo identification is required for entry.

The Unison program (DARPA-PS-27-06) seeks collaborative-autonomy approaches that enable autonomous teams to jointly adapt decision-making, communications, tactics, and coordination relationships as mission complexity increases and communications become constrained or degraded. The program comprises two technical areas: TA-1 (Joint Co-Adaptation) develops coordinated autonomous team decision software, and TA-2 (Modeling and Simulation Environment) develops a faster-than-real-time simulation environment for training and evaluation. Prime contractors must access and store Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The Proposers Day will provide program details, address questions, facilitate teaming through an industry interactive exchange at the CUI level, and offer optional attendee-list distribution. Contact: Dr. Tamer Refaei, Unison@darpa.mil.

PROPOSERS DAY:
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Strategic Technology Office
(STO) will host a Proposers Day in support of DARPA-PS-27-06, Unison program, on 5 November 2026 at the System Planning and Analysis Research Collaboration Center (SPARCC), 4075 Wilson Blvd., Suite 201 from 9:00AM-2:00 PM EST. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Unison program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to meet potential teaming partners.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Unison program is to develop and evaluate collaborative-autonomy approaches that jointly adapt team decision-making and communications during mission execution. Unison will investigate approaches that enable autonomous teams to modify tactics, behaviors, coordination relationships, and information exchange as mission complexity and operational variability increase and communications become extremely constrained and/or degraded.
