About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research for a specialized transmitter used in the AN/TPT-T1 (V) Unmanned Threat Emitter (UMTE) system. The agency seeks to procure 6 transmitters with specific part numbers (75502-2 and 1006-1530-2), with a National Stock Number of 5840-01-508-1032. Potential suppliers must undergo a rigorous qualification process that includes demonstrating unique engineering capabilities, manufacturing knowledge, and compliance with specific technical specifications. Interested parties are required to submit capability statements within 15 days of the notice, with the understanding that award will only be made to offerors who meet strict qualification requirements at the time of contract award. The contracting officer, Travis Bodily, can be contacted at 385-519-8100 or travis.bodily@us.af.mil for additional information.

The procurement is not set aside for small businesses and is subject to Free Trade Agreements. The Manufacturing Qualification Requirements document indicates an estimated qualification cost of $19,000 with a 60-day completion timeline for the qualification process. The destination for delivery is designated as SW3215, with an estimated delivery schedule set for 11 January 2027. Potential suppliers must be prepared to submit a pre-contract qualification article and comply with Drawing SP1006-1530 and TO 31P1-4-162-1 specifications. The qualification process is managed by the 415th SCMS, and while successful qualification does not guarantee contract award, it is a critical step in being considered for this procurement. Suppliers will need to provide comprehensive test plans, allow government facility inspections, and demonstrate their ability to meet the stringent technical and manufacturing requirements for this specialized transmitter.
