About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure UH-1N Pressure Indicators, which are dual-function flight instruments installed on UH-1N helicopters that simultaneously display engine oil pressure (0-150 PSI) and oil temperature (-50 to +150°C). The indicators are integrally lit with 5V red light, operate on both 26.5V AC and 28.0V DC power, and are manufactured to Bell Textron's Source Control Drawing 209-070-262 quality and qualification standards. The Government intends to award this contract using Other Than Full and Open Competition under FAR 6.302-1 (single responsible source), indicating that only one supplier is deemed capable of meeting the agency's requirements. Interested parties must submit their capability statements and expressions of interest no later than February 6, 2026, to Terrence Wideman at terrence.wideman.2@us.af.mil. The Pre-solicitation Notice was posted on January 30, 2026, with a response deadline of February 13, 2026.

This procurement carries no set-aside designations for small businesses or other special programs. Rogerson Kratos (CAGE 34830) is identified as the only Government-approved supplier with adequate technical knowledge and necessary data for this specialized component, with all military spares and repair contracts administered exclusively through their distributor, ECI Defense Group (CAGE 3SDB5). The Pre-solicitation Notice does not disclose a specific contract award value or procurement quantity, though the requirement references National Stock Number 6620-00-498-7781GA and part number 124-935A, suggesting this is a replacement parts procurement for existing helicopter fleets. As a dual-function instrument with stringent military specifications and qualification requirements, this represents a specialized procurement with limited competitive sourcing options. The narrow competition timeline and single-source justification indicate the Government anticipates rapid contract award following the February 13 deadline.
