About this opportunity

The U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command, Program Executive Office for Space Combat Power, is seeking kinetic midcourse interceptor solutions through a Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP FA8819-25-9-1002) for the Space Based Interceptor (LOE 2M) program. The RPP is expected to be released on approximately December 7, 2025, with a pre-solicitation notice deadline of December 4, 2025, for eligible companies to submit required information to receive the solicitation documentation. To access the Bidders Library and solicitation documents, companies must demonstrate eligibility to handle unclassified export controlled technical data and critical technology by providing an approved DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. The government anticipates the evaluation process will include assessment of proposed kinetic interceptor solutions, though specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in this pre-solicitation notice. The government expects to complete the eligibility verification process within 1-2 business days following receipt of required documentation and DD Form 2345 approval.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is open to eligible companies on an equal basis. No incumbent contractors or current award holders are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The government anticipates making multiple fixed-price Other Transaction Agreements in accordance with 10 USC 4022, with potential incorporation of Prize Competitions under 10 USC 4025, though specific award values and budget ranges are not disclosed in this announcement. Awards are anticipated in February 2026, providing the selected contractors with a defined timeline for prototype development and delivery. The notice emphasizes that this pre-solicitation announcement does not constitute an obligation by the government and does not commit it to making any awards from this solicitation.
