About this opportunity

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Trade is seeking information from vendors capable of providing an online database of domestic and international trade shipments data. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to identify sources that can develop a trade analysis platform delivering comprehensive worldwide trade information for research and shipment analysis. The RFI requires vendors to submit a five-page response demonstrating their capabilities, including company details, contact information, business size, and potential cost drivers. Responses must be electronically submitted in PDF format to Contracting Officer Jared Tritle by December 13, 2024, at 12:00 pm ET. The government will use the submitted information to assess vendor capabilities for meeting the draft Statement of Work requirements, with responses serving as a planning tool for potential future procurement.

The current RFI does not specify a set-aside designation and does not include award value details. The platform is expected to support 700-800 active user profiles monthly, with a potential contract period spanning a base year from May 26, 2025, to May 25, 2026, and four additional one-year option periods extending through May 25, 2030. The system must provide data visualization tools, query capabilities, and frequent database updates covering trade information from countries including China, India, Mexico, and the United States. Vendors will be required to provide a user guide and conduct two super-user training sessions in Washington, DC within 30 days of award. Importantly, this RFI is strictly for informational purposes, and the government explicitly states that no contract will be awarded based on these submissions, and vendors will bear all costs associated with responding.
