About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) has published a Special Notice announcing a two-day Industry Days event scheduled for April 21-22, 2026, at Newlab Detroit. This notice was posted on February 9, 2026, by the Department of the Army and serves as an informational announcement rather than a formal solicitation. GVSC is the Army's primary Research, Development and Engineering Center responsible for ground vehicle systems technology and integration. The event is designed to bring together industry, academia, and government partners to explore collaboration opportunities and learn about GVSC's technological capabilities and focus areas. Contractors are required to attend only one of the two event days based on their clearance level and organization type.
The primary objective of the Industry Days event is to inform potential partners about GVSC's ground vehicle systems technology roadmaps, planned spending, and collaboration opportunities across key focus areas including autonomy and robotics, power and mobility, survivability, modeling and simulation, advanced manufacturing, vehicle electronics, cyber engineering, software engineering, system engineering, and digital engineering. Day 1 (April 21) is open to all small and large businesses, institutions of higher learning, and government institutions, while Day 2 (April 22) is restricted to Department of Defense contractors due to Controlled Unclassified Information content. Online registration opens February 17, 2026, and closes March 20, 2026, with no extensions granted. Attendees must be U.S. citizens with a need-to-know, and Distribution D attendees must provide a company CAGE code. The event format includes briefings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by one-on-one meetings with technology leads from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with companies permitted to schedule up to three meeting timeslots on a first-come, first-served basis.
