This project is to mechanically treating vegetation in two identified units, totaling approximately 468 acres, including options. The allotted time for contract performance is 120 days from date of award. All work shall be performed on the Grand Valley Ranger District of the Uncompahgre National Forest in Mesa County, Colorado.
This project is being advertised as a total small business set-aside and as such is open to all qualified small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115310 and the small business size standard is $17.5 million (CORRECTED - FUELS MANAGEMENT PROJECT). The solicitation for this project will be available only through the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Jay Tobin at jtobin@fs.fed.us. All Offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) database to be eligible for award. Offerors must respond to all instructions in Sections B, K and L of the solicitation when issued to be considered responsive. Offerors that fail to meet these criteria may not be considered for award.
A pre-proposal conference is NOT being planned. A map of the treatment area is being issued with this notice to allow prospective offerors the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the project area. Contractors are encouraged to visit the work site if they are unfamiliar with the area before submitting a proposal.
The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is on or about May 20, 2014.

The size standard has been corrected from $7.0 to $17.5 million as this is a fuels management/reduction project.
An SF30 will NOT be issued. Size standard information contained within the body of the solicitation will be corrected/updated upon award.

The Statement of Work has been revised to add a requirement for re-seeding the entire treatment area. The attached three pages shall be substituted for their respective counterparts in the Solicitation.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. An SF30 will not be issued.
