The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated DoD Combat Support Agency that enables the US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high quality health services to Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS by:
• Implementing shared services with common measurement of outcomes;
• Enabling rapid adoption of proven practices, helping reduce unwanted variation, and improving the coordination of care across time and treatment venues;
• Exercising management responsibility for joint shared services and the TRICARE Health Plan; and
• Acting as the market manager for the National Capital Region (NCR) enhanced Multi-Service Market, which includes Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH).
The purpose of this notice is to obtain information from industry to further define the requirements for the TRICARE Dental Readiness and Wellness (TDRAW). DHA is considering the development of a Dental Wellness Classification (DWC) epidemiological tracking system for TRICARE family members and is requesting recommendations on how best to collect and analyze the data. DHA is requesting industry input to the questions in Attachment 1, HT9402-DHA-TDRAW-RFI-3 Family Member Dental Wellness Classification (DWC).
Interested parties shall email their responses attached as either a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF file to the primary point of contact listed in this notice by 5:00 pm MT on January 26, 2018. Please state "Response HT9402-DHA-TDRAW-RFI-3" in the email subject line.
Pursuant to FAR 10, Market Research, this RFI does not constitute a request for proposal. Interested firms shall not send proposals in response to this notice, nor shall they contact any other individuals about this notice or the requirement. Any information provided to DHA is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation, and is clearly provided at no cost to the Government. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contact nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
