About this opportunity
The Food and Drug Administration's Center for Tobacco Products is seeking capability information from eligible tribal organizations to conduct inspections of commercial tobacco retailers. Tribes must be qualified as part of their tribal government and demonstrate the ability to perform undercover buys to assess age verification and photo ID compliance, as well as auditing of advertising and labeling. Respondents should describe inspection and staffing capabilities as well as experience managing federal contracts and meeting administrative requirements for training, recordkeeping and reporting. Responses are due by April 11:00 AM Eastern Time on April 5, 2024 and should be emailed to Janice/Heard@fda.hhs.gov with the subject line "Response to the Request for Information for the Tribal Retailer Inspections Program."
There is no set-aside designated for this pre-solicitation. Eligible tribes will qualify for future solicitations to conduct inspection services in support of FDA enforcement of tobacco product regulations to undisclosed retailers within tribal jurisdictions. No budget ranges or timelines for services were provided.
