Key requirements include ensuring transit fare media is defect-free and operational upon receipt, making monthly benefit amounts available between the 1st and 5th of each month, providing monthly usage reports, and offering initial registration and training services. The vendor must also demonstrate quick reaction capabilities to handle modifications within 10 business days and provide web-based access for DOL to manage benefit assignments. This is currently a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information posted on both GSA and SAM.gov, with only one submission required, though the due date listed as April 9, 2025 appears to precede the posting date of September 3, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is classified under NAICS code 485111 for Mixed Mode Transit Systems. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are mentioned in the available documentation. The contractor will receive monthly payments based on actual transit benefits allocated, with no minimum purchase requirements specified. The service model includes monthly deduction of unused benefits that are returned to DOL at month-end, suggesting a flexible benefit allocation system. The program is designed to support DOL's national office transit benefit program, indicating this may serve a substantial number of federal employees across the department's operations.
