About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Hood anticipates procuring one remanufactured Fabco TC 237 Transfer Case Assembly with a response deadline of August 5, 2026; this procurement is set aside for Total Small Business.
The requirement is for a Fabco TC 237 Transfer Case Assembly (Part Number 873-3061-004) compatible with an Allison 3000 EVS-P Main Transmission for a Peterbilt/Pierce PB 348 Fire Truck to restore operational readiness to this emergency response vehicle. The unit must be remanufactured to OEM specifications as a complete assembly excluding drive yokes, dynamically load tested, and pre-filled with fluid and test report documenting performance. Delivery is required within 30 calendar days after receipt of order on an FOB Destination basis to Building 2602 Liberty Division Road, Fort Jackson, South Carolina 29207.
The contractor must provide a standard commercial warranty of not less than 12 months or 12,000 miles from Government acceptance, covering defects in materials, workmanship, remanufacturing quality, and functional performance. The transfer case shall be secured to a standard pallet and protected from moisture, corrosion, and impact during shipment.
This is a Request for Information only; the Government seeks to validate availability and capability of local service providers within a 40-mile radius of Fort Jackson. Responses should be submitted to roger.d.miller.civ@army.mil with company information, capability statements, vendor question responses, and proof of location within the 40-mile radius. All response costs are the respondent's responsibility, and no entitlement to Government payment exists. The Government will not provide a core return; if the contractor requires one, the contractor shall coordinate and pay all associated freight costs.
