About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair or modification services for pressure transducers, specifically NSN 7H-6685-016009937 (Model EB-4837). The requirement involves the repair of pressure measuring and controlling instruments classified under PSC 6685. Since the government does not own the technical data or rights to procure this part from additional sources, and reverse engineering has been deemed uneconomical, the procurement will be conducted as a sole-source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, allowing the government to negotiate with only one source. Interested parties may obtain relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, Qualified Products Lists, and other standardized documents through the DoD Single Stock Point at DAPS in Philadelphia or via ASSIST-Online. All responsible sources are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The due date for responses is October 17, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business concerns. The contract involves the delivery of 23 units of pressure transducers to two DLA Distribution locations: 23 units to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, and units to DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. No specific contract value or budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice, nor is an incumbent contractor identified. The repair/modification nature of the requirement, combined with the restricted data availability and economic constraints, indicates this is a specialized procurement with limited competitive options in the marketplace.
