PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES/CLARIFICATIONS TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT:
1. The skid steer loader must have a diesel engine. The engine and its relevant exhaust system, along with general electric circuits must be treated to avoid ignition or explosion.
2. Please note that "Operating Capacity = 5000 lbs" is incorrect. The Operating Weight should be 5,000 lbs.
3. Note that for this skid steer loader, "explosion proof criteria" are in reference to the fact that the Air Force will use this equipment in a hazardous materials area. The vehicle must be modified so that it does not ignite sparks/flames from dust that is caused from stripping certain Aircraft with a blast media component. The required skid steer loader will be used to clean up dust remaining from blast media.
4. Note that "Class II, Division I, Group E, F, or G, or Zone 21 ratings" refer to classifications for equipment used around hazardous material.
NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 26 AUG 2010, 4:30 CST.
