About this opportunity

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is conducting a sources-sought and market survey for towbar motor vehicles (NSN 2540-01-434-8595) under total small-business set-aside, with responses due October 2, 2026. The procurement is anticipated to cover a base quantity of 341 units with a 100% option for an additional 341 units (682 total). Respondents must be capable of manufacturing to approved-source quality standards and willing to accept firm fixed-price contracts on F.O.B. Origin terms. Interested vendors may alternatively apply for Approved Source qualification through the DLA Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program, which requires submission of technical data demonstrating manufacturing capability equal to or exceeding current OEM standards. The market survey requests comprehensive supplier information including business-size classification, manufacturer status, inventory availability, commercial/non-commercial item classification, compliance with FAR Part 12 or Part 15, packaging capability per ASTM D 3951 with RFID compliance, and identification of hazardous materials and cost drivers. NAICS 336390 (Other Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing) applies. Respondents must return the market survey form to Amber Weaver (amber.weaver@dla.mil) at DLA Weapons Support Columbus by close of business September 30, 2026, to support development of the pending RFP.
