About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs, specifically the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT), is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to explore potential contractors capable of manufacturing Topside Lifelines Stanchions. This is a market research effort to understand manufacturing capabilities for specialized naval equipment components, as detailed in the accompanying technical drawings (TRK411-002-14A, AM2545-1-4, A2545-1, and AM2545-1-3). The RFI is strictly an information-gathering exercise and does not constitute a formal solicitation or promise of future contract award. Interested contractors are expected to review the detailed technical specifications and provide insights into their manufacturing capabilities. The deadline for response is May 23, 2025, with all costs of preparing and submitting information to be borne solely by the responding parties.

There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The RFI is classified under NAICS Category 332323 for Ornamental and Architectural Metal Work Manufacturing and PSC Category 5340 for Commercial Hardware. While no specific award value or budget range is provided, the technical drawings suggest the procurement will involve precise, custom-manufactured stanchion components for naval applications. Potential contractors will need to demonstrate high-precision manufacturing capabilities, ability to meet complex engineering specifications, and familiarity with naval equipment standards. Future solicitation details, if any, will be posted on SAM.gov, and interested parties are advised to monitor that platform for additional information.
