About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring various tool holders and machining accessories through this solicitation, including CAT40 tool holders with different specifications such as end mill, face mill, hydraulic chuck, and collet chuck configurations, along with a laser tool probe calibrator and pull studs. The procurement covers 16 different line items with quantities ranging from 1 to 120 units per item, totaling multiple machining components essential for shipyard operations. Key requirements include NIST SP 800-171 compliance for contractors unless items are deemed Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credentialing for base access, and electronic invoice submission through Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF). Contractors must submit signed and completed solicitations via email to deborah.beierle@dla.mil or fax, ensuring compliance with clause 52.204-24 requirements. The critical deadline is July 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM for quote submissions, with delivery scheduled for August 6, 2025.

This solicitation is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing) with a size standard of 500 employees, and includes preferences for service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned, and HUBZone small businesses. No incumbent contractors are specifically mentioned in the solicitation documents. While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement involves substantial quantities of precision machining tools ranging from single units to 120 pieces across various tool holder types. The contract timeline is extremely compressed with only one day between posting and submission deadline, followed by a rapid two-week delivery schedule. Performance will occur at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, indicating support for naval vessel maintenance and repair operations.
