About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Sacramento is soliciting proposals for a design-build project to install a 2 megawatt solar photovoltaic array at Tooele Army Depot in Utah. Offerors must demonstrate experience designing and constructing similar 1 megawatt or greater solar arrays, and construction must be completed within 365 days of award. Proposals will be evaluated using lowest price technically acceptable criteria, with responses due by September 28, 2021. The objective is to offset the depot's energy consumption from the local utility and allow excess power to be sent to the local grid via an existing net metering station.
The set-aside is designated for total small business. The NAICS code is 238210 and PSC code is R408. The place of performance is Tooele, Utah. Key details include generating up to 2 megawatts of electrical power from the solar array to reduce energy costs while excess power will be sent to the local utility grid.

This is a design-build project to meet growing energy and reliability demands, and as part of its ongoing drive to optimize efficiency and conserve natural resources, Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) desires a solar photovoltaic array to be installed onsite adjacent to GE Wind Turbine at Toole Army Depot, UTAH. The Project is located east of the existing Stirling Array and GE Wind Turbine within the Tooele Army Depot north area.
The main objective of this requirement is to design and build a 2 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) array that offsets Tooele Army Depots (TEAD) energy consumption from the local utility by generating electrical power, while allowing excess power generated to be sent to the local utilities electrical grid via the existing net metering station.
