About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-280 in Patuxent River, Maryland intends to negotiate and award a modification to an existing contract with Raytheon Company to perform work necessary to expand annual production and recertification capacity for the Tactical Tomahawk (TACTOM) Block V All-Up-Round (AUR). This effort will involve procurement of systems integration and testing to sustain the Legacy Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test environments required to support software development, acceptance testing, and formal qualification testing to improve Tomahawk supply base capability for the U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales. The period of performance is anticipated to be 17 months, with a start date in December 2024. Raytheon, as the sole manufacturer of the Tomahawk Missile System, maintains the necessary technical data and manufacturing documentation to complete this work.
This is a sole-source procurement, as Raytheon is the only source that possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile required to fulfill these requirements. The anticipated contract modification will not have a set-aside designation. While no award value or budget range is provided, the notice indicates this effort is intended to improve Tomahawk supply base capacity capability for the Navy and Foreign Military Sales. Interested small businesses are encouraged to submit capability statements directly to the Navy point of contact.
