About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Mobile is seeking title evidence services for the Mississippi Coastal Improvements Program (MsCIP) Comprehensive Forest Heights Levee Project in Gulfport, Mississippi. The solicitation requires a contractor to perform comprehensive title evidence work, including generating preliminary title commitments, title updates, and issuing a final U.S. ALTA Owners Policy. Contractors will be responsible for producing tract maps and surveyed legal descriptions within 30 days of contract award. The work will be issued based on price schedules submitted by the selected contractor, with an expectation of continued title evidence support until land acquisition is complete or the government determines no further action is needed. The solicitation is posted on February 19, 2025, with responses due by February 25, 2025, creating a tight six-day window for potential bidders to prepare and submit their proposals.
This contract opportunity is specifically set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, narrowing the competitive field to qualifying vendors. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 541110 for Offices of Lawyers and uses the PSC code R418 for Professional Legal Support services. While specific award values are not disclosed, the project is associated with the Forest Heights Levee project for the City of Gulfport, Mississippi, suggesting a localized and potentially significant scope of work. The contractor will be expected to provide up to two title updates per tract and complete a comprehensive title evidence process that supports the broader coastal improvements program. Performance will be centered in Gulfport, Mississippi, with work directly supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' infrastructure and land acquisition objectives for the coastal improvement initiative.
