About this opportunity

The procurement involves specific timber dimensions: twenty-one pieces measuring 8" x 10" x 20' and eighty pieces measuring 6" x 10" x 10', with a cut tolerance of +/- 1". The timbers must be structural grade, with dressed surfaces and clean-cut square edges, and require pressure treatment according to AWPA C2 standards for fresh water use. Quotes are due by January 28, 2025, and must include documentation of the pressure treatment process and safety data sheets. The contract requires adherence to specific preservative treatment guidelines, excluding certain chemical treatments.
This solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside, targeting sawmill businesses within the NAICS 321113 category. The contract requires delivery of the timber fenders to Lock and Dam 5A in Fountain City, Wisconsin, with a strict delivery deadline of March 7, 2025. Delivery must be coordinated during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the contractor responsible for all packaging, shipping, and handling costs. The goods will be procured on a FOB destination basis, meaning the supplier bears responsibility until the materials are successfully delivered to the specified location.
