About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 3,825 units of tile components under NSN 1H-2090-012244912-ST, classified under the Miscellaneous Ship and Marine Equipment category (PSC 2090). This procurement requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality, and contractors must possess existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge from qualified sources. The approved sources retain essential data rights, manufacturing knowledge, and technical data that are not economically available to the Government, making these qualifications critical for maintaining part quality. Any alternate source must qualify according to design control activity procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on April 17, 2025, with a due date of February 13, 2026, providing contractors nearly ten months to prepare their responses.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designation, making it open to full and open competition among qualified sources. The contract specifies delivery terms as FOB Origin for the 3,825 units required, though no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The lengthy timeline from posting to due date suggests this is a complex procurement requiring significant preparation time for qualification and proposal development. No current contractors or potential incumbents are identified in the notice, though the emphasis on existing qualified sources suggests there may be established suppliers with the necessary approvals and capabilities. Interested parties can access relevant specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online portal, with additional support available through the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk for document acquisition.
