About this opportunity
The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base intends to award a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price contract for a one-year THOR (Three-Dimensional High-Fidelity Object Reconstruction) software license to iMetalx, Inc., with a response date of June 26, 2026. The procurement is not set-aside and proceeds under 10 U.S.C. 3572 based on a sole-source justification citing that iMetalx's THOR software is the only commercially available solution capable of meeting the government's requirements for high-fidelity three-dimensional reconstructions of space-based objects. iMetalx is located at 2350 Marinship Way, Suite 9, Sausalito, California. The contracting activity is AFLCMC/PZITA under Purchase Request F4FTSF6149A001. The justification asserts that no other software possesses THOR's developed capabilities in mapping and reconstructions of space-based objects, and that this unique capability is essential to the agency's mission. The appropriation source is Fiscal Year 2020's Software Portion. The procurement is classified under NAICS 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) and PSC 7E20 (IT and Telecom - End User: Help Desk; Tier 1-2, Workspace, Print, Output, Productivity Tools).
