Notice text

This requirement is a proof of concept initiative. A unique collaborative partnership is needed for this requirement in order to provide a viable pilot program. The Monterey College of Law has been identified as the only source able to meet the requirements of this action.

The California Central Coast (CCC) Public Service Corps presents a different approach for creating a new generation of students dedicated to public service, building on the ROTC model. Rather than constructing a new “bricks and mortar†university campus, the Corps creates a concurrent Public Service Leadership pathway, similar to the Army, Navy and Air Force ROTC programs. The program does not duplicate basic undergraduate course work that can be completed at any accredited college or university.

Rather, the Corps focuses on third- and fourth-year university curriculum and an intensive clinical program to provide returning veterans and college students with hands-on experience in a service learning environment as the pathway to becoming the next generation of public service leaders.
