About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair and modification services for thermal imaging systems, specifically for NSN 7H-5855-015582849 (TDP Version 010). This pre-solicitation notice indicates the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to express their interest and capability. The Government does not own the data or rights necessary to purchase or contract repair from alternative sources, and has determined that acquiring such data or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical. Interested parties are required to include their CAGE code on solicitation requests and can access Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and other documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) or ASSIST-Online. The due date for submissions is November 26, 2025, with a posted date of June 25, 2025, providing potential contractors with an initial notice period to prepare their responses.

This procurement utilizes no set-aside designations and pertains to night vision equipment within the PSC 5855 category. The Government requires 51 units of the thermal imaging system component with delivery FOB Origin, indicating the contractor will be responsible for shipping costs from their facility. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, and no incumbent contractor information is provided. The notice does not specify an explicit evaluation criteria framework beyond the requirement that firms demonstrate capability to fulfill the repair and modification requirements for the specified quantity and technical specifications. Contractors interested in this opportunity should monitor updates and prepare documentation demonstrating their technical capability and CAGE code compliance for submission within the established timeline.
